Zusammenfassung
Die strukturelle Bildgebung mit Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) oder Computertomographie (CT) ist ein unverzichtbarer Bestandteil der Demenzdiagnostik. Rezeptorstudien und funktionelle Darstellungen mit funktioneller Magnetresonanztomographie (f-MRT), Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) oder Positronenemissionstomographie (PET) sind speziellen Indikationen vorbehalten.
Vorwiegend innovative MRT-Techniken leisten Beiträge zur Aufdeckung der Pathophysiologie psychischer Erkrankungen. Die Ergebnisse sind in der Regel statistische Aussagen und nicht von individual-diagnostischer Bedeutung.
