In der Technik entwickelt sich Fortschritt in einem kontinuierlichen Prozess. Die Produktionstechnik macht da keine Ausnahme und es ist nicht zu erkennen, dass die logische Folge von Erkenntnisgewinn aus erprobten Technologien als Grundlage für neue Verfahren durch fundamentale oder revolutionäre Entwicklungen abgelöst werden sollte.
