Abstract
Thromboembolism is a dangerous complication during pregnancy and confinement. The risk for thromboembolism is increased six times for healthy females under these circumstances [3]. Fatal pulmonary embolism from deep vein thrombosis remains the main cause of death in females in labor [1].
