Abstract

In Sect. 3.1, we made a Fourier integral analysis of the time dependence of the Maxwell–Lorentz equations. Now we go one step further and make also a partial Fourier transformation of the space dependent part of these equations. For a vector field \(\vec{V }(\vec{r};\omega )\) described in Cartesian coordinates (x, y, z) we thus carry out Fourier integral transformations on the x- and y-dependences.
