Zusammenfassung
Augenbewegungsstörungen und Schwindel gehören zu den häufigsten Leitsymptomen der klinischen Neurologie. Die neuroanatomischen und physiologischen Grundlagen des okulomotorischen, visuellen und vestibulären Systems sind heute so gut erforscht, dass oft bereits am Krankenbett eine exakte neurologisch-topische Diagnose möglich ist. Dennoch bereitet dies vielen Neurologen Schwierigkeiten, was zeigt, dass die Kenntnisse über dieses Randgebiet der Neurologie weiterer Verbreitung bedürfen.
