Zusammenfassung
Revision knee arthroplasty is a separate discipline from primary surgery, and septic knee revision is even more subspecialized. Revision knee arthroplasty has technical differences because of bone loss and ligamentous imbalance, especially inequality of flexion and extension gaps. It is incumbent on the surgeon to know the cause of the failed knee replacement to be able to anticipate the technical maneuvers needed to correct the failure.
