Abstract

Eukaryotic parasites rarely involve the lungs in patients with hematological malignancies. As with other eukaryotic pathogens such as fungi (mainly Pneumocystis, Aspergillus, and Candida), parasitic infections in immunocompromised patients are associated with high morbidity and mortality rates if not prevented or diagnosed and treated early. In this review, we describe pulmonary toxoplasmosis and stongyloidiasis.
