Zusammenfassung
Der psychiatrische Notfall erfordert eine sofortige, an der akuten Symptomatik orientierte und gezielte Therapie, um eine Gefahr für die Gesundheit des Patienten und/oder anderer Personen abzuwenden (Pajonk 2000; Hewer 2005). Da psychische Symptome auch durch somatische Faktoren verursacht bzw. mitbedingt werden können, sollten psychiatrische Notfallpatienten immer einer somatischen (Zusatz-)Diagnostik unterzogen werden und ggf. auch somatomedizinisch therapiert werden.
