Modeling Risk Management in Sustainable Construction

Part of the book series: Computational Risk Management ((Comp. Risk Mgmt))

Abstract

Project risk assessment is an important basis for construction enterprises to select the right project during the bidding phase. In this paper, a project risk assessment model based on Rough set and TOPSIS is proposed. In this model, the hybrid weight of each index is achieved adopting Rough set theory and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Then, with the minimized risk as the objective, technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) is applied to determine the ranking order of the bidding projects according to their closeness coefficient. Finally, an example is shown to highlight the procedure of the proposed method and verify its effectiveness.
