Zusammenfassung

Die Leistungsanforderungen an das obere Sprunggelenk sind nicht zu unterschätzen. Mit einer knöchernen Kontaktfläche von nur ca. 250 mm2 (Beaudoin et al. 1991; Thermann und Saltzman 2002) und tibiotalaren Knorpeldicken von maximal 2 mm (Tan et al. 1996) – zum Vergleich das Kniegelenk mit Knorpeldicken von bis zu 7 mm (Adam et al. 1998) – sind eine adäquate, achsgerechte Krafteinleitung unabdinglich.
