Abstract

Each day we issued the “IMO Daily News” to facilitate communication between the 565 contestants and their team guides and deputy leaders, and also with the jury and the coordinators, once they moved to the Jacobs campus. In all, we had to keep more than 1000 people updated on what was going on. The Daily News was produced in three stages: first the editorial content was assembled by Wilfried Kurth and Stephanie Schiemann; then in the middle of the night the information was put together in an attractive format by Marcel Oliver; and finally it was printed and distributed early in the morning by Anke Allner. Reading the Daily News again after the IMO brings back lively memories of our exciting time in Bremen.
