Zusammenfassung
Die operative Versorgung kindlicher Hernien im Bauchdeckenbereich stellen die häufigsten Operationen im Kindesalter dar. Sie umfassen Leisten-, Nabel- und epigastrische Hernien. Leistenhernien müssen operiert werden; die Operationstechnik ist weitgehend standardisiert. Die meisten Nabelhernien verschließen sich spontan, vor allem bei Inkarzeration und Persistenz des Nabelbruchs besteht eine Operationsindikation. Epigastrische Hernien werden bei Nachweis der Faszienlücke und des Lipoms chirurgisch versorgt.
