Zusammenfassung
In China hatte die Astronomie unabgängig vom Westen einen eigenen hohen Stand entwickelt, der sich auch in Zeitangaben und Kalendern zeigt. Man erkennt bei dieser Wasseruhr des Su Sung (1020–1101) im Obergeschoß einen Globus, der offensichtlich mit angetrieben wird und ein Ablesen von Himmelsdaten erlaubt. Darunter erscheinen Kalenderangaben auf einer mitgeführten Trommel.
