Medizinpsychologische Aspekte der Patientin mit Mammakarzinom

Zusamenfassung

Das Mammakarzinom ist die häufigste bösartige Erkrankung der Frau in Westeuropa und in den USA. 57.000 Frauen erkranken jährlich in Deutschland an Brustkrebs, wobei das mittlere Erkrankungsalter bei 63 Jahren liegt und damit 6 Jahre unter dem mittleren Erkrankungsalter aller Krebserkrankungen. Inzwischen erkranken nicht mehr nur ältere oder alte Frauen an einem Mammakarzinom, sondern immer häufiger sind die Betroffenen auch jüngere Frauen. Etwa ein Drittel sind in einem Alter unter 60 Jahren (Robert-Koch-Institut 2008).
