Summary
Meticulous planning is the key to avoid complications in TEVAR. Besides vascular anatomy the different characteristics of grafts have to be taken into consideration. Correction of a complication after TEVAR requires a large armamentarium of interventional material and experience. The consequences of complications are much more serious as compared to infrarenal interventions. Conversion is rare, but has to be an available alternative in primary repair as well as during follow up.
