Die pharmakokinetischen Eigenschaften von Medikamenten können bei eingeschränkter Nierenfunktion verändert sein. Bei Nieren- oder Leberfunktionsstörung, aber auch bei älteren Menschen, liegt häufig ein veränderter Arzneimittelmetabolismus vor.
