Zusammenfassung

Ein akutes Nierenversagen (ANV) ist eine innerhalb von Stunden bis Tagen eintretende, prinzipiell reversible Verschlechterung der Nierenfunktion. Über den Anstieg der harnpflichtigen Substanzen hinaus, kommt es auch zu Störungen der Elektrolyte, des Säure-Basen-Haushaltes und zu Hypervolämie. Das Ausmaß des akuten Nierenversagens ist variabel und kann bis zur Notwendigkeit der Nierenersatztherapie führen. Prinzipiell unterscheidet man prärenale, intrarenale und postrenale Ursachen. Am häufigsten sind prärenale Auslöser und die akute Tubulusnekrose. Die Mortalität des akuten Nierenversagens durch Medikamente oder Nephrotoxine beträgt 10–30%.
