Abstract

Let us begin at the beginning. About 13.6 billion years ago (Spergel, 2003) the Universe we inhabit came into existence in a phenomenon called the Big Bang, in which space, time, energy, and the laws of nature emerged. The initial singularity evolved to states of extremely high energy density and temperature causing a very rapid expansion of space through non-space at a speed far greater than that of light.
