Abstract

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a rare malignant tumor in childhood not only in Europe but also in Asia, where the highest incidence of NPC in adult patients is seen. NPC represents one of the most frequent epithelial tumors of the child in intermediate risk regions. However, distinguishing malignant tumors from the more common and numerous benign causes of neck masses in childhood is crucial, as many malignant conditions have an excellent prognosis with appropriate oncological management.
