Abstract
A surface cooling by using water blanket ensured us a bloodless method in a brain hypothermia for the cerebral protection at various stage of medical treatment. The automatic control of temperature with little effect caused by various environmental change leads medical staff to reduce special skills in its clinical application, However, water is not always appropriate medium of the clinical cooling use for both of patients and medical staff. Thus air-cooling is introduced based on the various simulation results to realize automatic temperature control by fuzzy algorithm as a clinical reflection of medical staff’s knowledge and the experience. The experiments were carried out using a mannequin with human thermal characteristics in order to verify the utility of the basic automatic control system by air-cooling for brain hypothermia treatment.
