Abstract

This article deals with structural analysis for fault detection and isolation in fuel cell stack system. Analytical redundancy relations (ARRs) are computed by means on structural analysis with residuals generation. Then, structural monitorability (detectability and isolability) of fuel cell stack system is given. Through the fault signature’s table, it has been shown that drying, flooding, contamination by gas pipe, compressor faults (mechanical, hydraulic, controller), compressor’s current and velocity sensor faults and air mass flow sensor fault are detectable and isolable.
