Notes
- 1.
According to Wilber (2002), “the more you contact the higher Self, the more you worry about the world, as a component of your very Self, the Self of each and all.” At the workplace, spirituality has been characterized as a sense of calling to one’s work that gives one the feeling of meaning, and a need to be connected to others and experience membership in a common cause (Fry 2003).
- 2.
Spirituality refers to harmony with self, harmony with social and natural environment and capacity or belief in transcendence. It refers to a state of intimate relationship with the inner self of higher values and morality as well as recognition of the truth of the inner nature of people (Fairholm 1997).
