Zusammenfassung

Die Nierenbeckenabgangsenge ist die häufigste angeborene Ursache für Obstruktionen im oberen Harntrakt. Heutzutage werden Hydronephrosen, in Folge der verbesserten Ultraschalldiagnostik [1, 2], bereits pränatal gefunden, führen jedoch zumeist erst in der späteren Entwicklung zu klinisch apparenten Beschwerden. Zumeist machen sich die ersten Symptome erst im jugendlichen Erwachsenenalter bemerkbar. Häufig handelt es sich um uncharakteristische Symptome wie Inappetenz, rezidivierende Übelkeit, Hämaturie, rezidivierende Harnwegsinfekte und Pyelonephritiden. Am häufigsten treten aber Flankenschmerzen und Nierenkoliken sowie die resultierende Verschlechterung der Nierenfunktion auf.
