Abstract

This appendix describes the different types of uncertainty that are generally encountered in investment projects.

Types of Uncertainty in Investment Projects

From the economic viewpoint, two types of uncertainty are generally present in projects for investment and technological innovation: market uncertainty and technical uncertainty.
