Parallel simulation of type IIa supernovae explosions using a simplified physical model

Abstract

A simplified model for simulation of type IIa supernovae explosions is presented; preliminary results are given, and parallel speedups obtained from OpenMP parallelization on a symmetric multi-processor and on a blade cluster are reported.
