Research and Implementation of an Enterprise-Class MAS Application Development Framework—JadeEE

Abstract

J2EE architecture has advantages in developing enterprise-class applications, but it does not support agent-oriented programming. JADE is suitable as a MAS development framework, but it considers less in maintainability, expansibility and stability. This paper proposes a MAS model - JadeEE (Java Agent Development Framework Enterprise Extension) - which is based on JADE and J2EE. This model keeps the running speed of enterprise MAS software in an acceptable level without losing any flexibility and reliability of J2EE. JadeEE is also an enterprise-class MAS application development framework with good stability, expansibility and maintainability. The common GDSS for comprehensive natural disaster forecast is a typical application of distributed cooperative system. This paper presents architecture of common GDSS for comprehensive natural disaster forecast. The effective application of it in comprehensive typhoon forecast is also provided.
