3D Mapping with Kurt3D

The 3D laser range finder is built on the basis of a SICK 2D range finder by extension with a mount and a small servomotor (Figure 6.1) [119]. The 2D laser range finder is attached to the mount at the center of rotation for achieving a controlled pitch motion with a standard servo.
