Abstract
After comparison of various Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) schemes, the selection of Selective Harmonic Elimination (SHE) SPWM is justified through MATLAB-based simulations. First, the results of MATLAB-based spectral analysis of simulated three-phase SHE SPWM waveforms are described. Next, the three-phase SPWM signals generated using a microcontroller and the SPWM outputs of a three-phase inverter are analyzed using MATLAB and the results compared. Brief descriptions of the algorithm employed and hardware used to implement the SHE SPWM strategy are also given.
