Die hypertrophe Pylorusstenose ist eine ausschließlich im Säuglingsalter auftretende Erkrankung des Magenausgangs. Als Folge einer eingeschränkten Magenentleerung imponieren die Leitsymptome „schwallartiges Erbrechen“ und „Gedeihstörung“. Die Diagnose wird klinisch gestellt und sonographisch gesichert. Therapeutisch erfolgt eine Pyloromyotomie, die über unterschiedliche Zugangswege erfolgen kann. Die Prognose der hypertrophen Pylorusstenose ist ausgezeichnet.
