Die fetale Chirurgie ist eine innovative, teilweise noch experimentelle Therapie, die für angeborene Fehlbildungen mit hoher pränataler oder unmittelbar postnataler Mortalität, bzw. für Malformationen mit schweren Mehrfachbehinderungen entwickelt wurde. Mit der intrauterinen Intervention sollen reversible Organschäden behoben und irreversible zum frühestmöglichen Zeitpunkt gestoppt werden.
