Zusammenfassung
Eine umfassende Therapie von Schmerzen muss auch im Rahmen der physikalischen Therapie die verschiedenen Dimensionen eines Schmerzes berücksichtigen (▸ Kap. 1–3). Für die Intensität der subjektiven Schmerzempfindung spielt das sog. „Schmerzdreieck“ eine Rolle, das folgende Komponenten umfasst:

Organische Schmerzursache (Reiz-Reaktions Ablauf)

Psychische Schmerzverarbeitung
-
Vegetatives Nervensystem
Alle 3 Faktoren bestimmen zusammen das „Schmerzerlebnis“ und sollten bei der Therapie eine Rolle spielen.
