Zusammenfassung

Sportliche Aktivität in der Schwangerschaft ist lange Zeit auch von den Betroff enen kritisch betrachtet worden (Clarke u. Gross 2004; Duncombe et al. 2009). Während in den meisten Kulturen eine schlanke Figur als Ideal gesehen wird, ist für einige Kulturen die opulente Figur Zeichen von Reichtum und Gesundheit. »Fattening rooms«, in denen die werdende Mutter gemästet wird, sind in diesen Kulturen verbreitet. Auch bei uns ist häufi g die Reaktion auf die Frage nach Sport in der Schwangerschaft mit Angst und Unsicherheit verbunden.
