Abstract
Grain boundaries play a dominant role in determining electronic and structural properties of polycrystalline ceramic materials such as SrTiO3. In order to develop an understanding of how grain boundary structure affects bulk properties, quantitative atomistic structural information is required. Due to their highly controlled nature, low angle coincident site lattice grain boundaries in the form of bicrystals provide ideal candidates for quantitative studies, as experimental results can be compared to modelled structures [1].
