Zusammenfassung

Die prozentuale Verteilung der Indikationen zur Bronchoskopie richtet sich nach dem vom Untersucher bedienten Klientel. Forschungseinheiten werden die Untersuchung allein zu diagnostischen Zwecken einsetzen, auf Intensivstationen ist der Anteil der therapeutischen Bronchoskopien groß. Ambulant durchgeführte Untersuchungen erfolgen meist mit diagnostischen Fragestellungen. In einer Krankenhaus-basierten Bronchologie-Einheit machen die diagnostischen Indikationen etwa drei Viertel der Gesamtuntersuchungszahlen aus (⊡ Tab. 5.1).
