Abstract

The magnetic field integral parameters have been calculated for the five-phase permanent magnet tubular linear motor (PMTLM). For the field analysis the finite element method has been used. Magnetic force and inductance of the stator winding have been calculated for different values of the supplying current and different mover positions. The physical model of the motor has been tested and a good conformity between the calculated and the measured characteristics has been obtained.
