Die Malaria ist eine der wichtigsten Infektionskrankheiten. Etwa 40 % der Weltbevölkerung lebt in den Verbreitungsgebieten (Abb. 36.1). Die Erkrankung ist eine besondere Bedrohung für Kleinkinder und Schwangere.
