Periodische Fiebersyndrome sind insgesamt seltene, monogen erbliche, chronische, multisystemische Entzündungsprozesse, gekennzeichnet durch rekurrierende Fieberattacken und den fehlenden Nachweis von Autoantikörpern oder autoantigenspezifischen T-Zellen. In den meisten Fällen ist eine molekulargenetische Diagnostik möglich (Tab. 89.1).
