Definition. Mit einer Inzidenz von 3/10.000 Lebendgeburten weist die Laparoschisis in den letzten Jahrzehnten eine ansteigende Häufigkeit auf. Bei der Laparoschisis handelt es sich um eine rechtseitige mediane Bauchwandspalte, somit um einen Defekt der gesamten Bauchdecke ohne Überzug. Die Nabelschnur entspringt links des Defektes nach einer schmalen Hautbrücke. Der Defekt ist meist kleiner als 4 cm. Es kommt zum Vorfall eines unterschiedlich großen Anteils von Dünn-und Dickdarm, eventuell auch Magen, selten Anteile der Harnblase oder des weiblichen inneren Geschlechtes in die Fruchtwasserblase.
