Innovative Transparent, Colored Pv-Modules for the Builidng Integration in Spain

  • Conference paper
Proceedings of ISES World Congress 2007 (Vol. I – Vol. V)

Abstract

CISOL is the Solar Research Unit of the Faculty of Architecture ETSAV of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Within its research activities it develops innovative building skins for the architectural integration of solar technologies, with a special focus on photovoltaic.

The paper shows the concept and development of a new, multifunctional, colored PV façade, pointing out the importance of an optimized and integrated solution for an innovative sustainable solar architecture under specific regional conditions. As the project is still in development, the paper focuses on the architectural integration and the PV-module design rather than the technical evaluation of the installation.
