Abstract
While in conventional ICE-based vehicles the energy carrier is a fossil fuel, electric and hybrid-electric propulsion systems are characterized by the presence of an electrochemical or electrostatic energy storage system. Moreover, at least one electric motor is responsible — totally or partially — for the vehicle propulsion.
