Thermal Effects under Synchrotron Radiation Power Absorption

  • Chapter
Modern Developments in X-Ray and Neutron Optics

Part of the book series: Springer Series in optical science ((SSOS,volume 137))

Analyses of the effects of silicon crystal beam heating under static and dynamic synchrotron radiation (power loads are presented. This research is related to monochromator design and crystal optics in general. The aim of work is to analyze the conditions for insertion of the crystal X-ray optics into the high flux primary beam of the synchrotron. Suggestions for the optimization of the target geometry and cooling system arrangement are given.
