Viele Frauen haben heutzutage einen klassischen 28-Tage-Zyklus, aber nicht deshalb, weil ihr Körper wie ein Uhrwerk funktioniert, sondern weil sie die Pille nehmen. So ist der 4-Wochen-Rhythmus der Regelblutung als geforderte Norm für weibliche Gesundheit und Stabilität im gesellschaftlichen Bewusstsein weiterhin fest verankert, und in den Schulbüchern wird dieses Faktum an jede neue Generation weitergegeben.
