GIS Development for Energy Distribution Network Restoration with an Integrated Interface

  • Chapter
Advances in Geoinformatics

Abstract

The power distribution companies are being requested on the quality of the power supply and its distribution [2] [3]. However, power outages are to be expected when there is a fault in the energy distribution network. In this case, it is necessary to de-energize the power lines where there is a fault and reconfigure the system in order to minimize the impact over the consumers in a process known as power restoration [6].
