Flavonoide in der Prävention von Darmneoplasien

Flavonoide können zur Prävention von Neoplasien (colorectale Carcinome und adenomatöse Darmpolypen) im Colon eingesetzt werden. Tee-Bioflavonoide in Tablettenform wurden pharmakologisch untersucht und ihre Plasmaspiegel wurden bei Patienten und Probanden gemessen. Apigenin (ein wirksames Flavonoid der Kamille) erreichte nach oraler Zufuhr Plasmaspiegel um 100 nmol/l und war ohne Supplementierung nicht nachweisbar.

Patienten nach Tumoroperationen wegen colorectalem Carcinom (n = 36) und nach Polypektomie wegen adenomatösen Colonpolypen (n = 51) wurden im Rahmen eines Registers betreut und ihre Ernährungsgewohnheiten und Lebensstilfaktoren mittels eines Fragebogens ermittelt. Es besteht ein erhebliches Defizit bei der Einnahme von Gemüse und Obst in beiden Risikogruppen. Nur 44% der Risikopatienten nahmen regelmäßig Gemüse ein und nur 70% aßen regelmäßig Obst.

Flavonoide sollten im Rahmen der Prävention, Gesundheitsförderung und Versorgungsforschung getestet und ihre Eff ektivität und Evidenz evaluiert werden.
