Six New Informativeness Indices of Data Linguistic Summaries

  • Conference paper

Abstract

The study introduces six new quality measures for linguistic summaries of databases. The basic Yager approach [6], with further improvements [1,2], based on fuzzy logic, is considered. The informativeness of summaries is discussed, and the new measures are applied in the extended version of the algorithm (introduced in [3]) which enables automated generating of textual descriptions of databases, possibly applied in WWW or RSS news, press comments, etc.
