Abstract

In this paper, a novel bank check filled-in-items extraction method based on support vector machines (SVM) is proposed. After preprocessing, the bank logos are cropped and recognized by SVMs. Then the bank type characters, in Chinese are cropped and classified with another SVM. After check type is recognized, real check is registered to the corresponding standard blank check. Finally the filled-in items in real check are extracted. The experimental results demonstrate the presented method is effective.
