Abstract

High resolution imaging of the Galactic Center at radio, mm/submm and MIR wavelengths allowed to determine the radio through IR spectrum of the compact synchrotron source Sgr A*, which is the best candidate for an underfed Black Hole close to or at the dynamical center of our Galaxy. The ensuing spectrum of Sgr A* could be typical for the non-thermal part of AGN spectra. But it requires — especially at submm and IR wavelengths and in the case of weak activity — a sufficiently high angular resolution to separate this spectrum from secondary contributions, such as optical/UV emission from a central cluster of hot stars and of starlight reprocessed by dust.
