Abstract
We analyze new H and I-band data of a complete sample of galaxies in two nearby galaxy clusters. We find that the Tully-Fisher scatter in H is slightly smaller than in I, but that the difference is so small that it is not worthwhile to redo large I-band surveys in the infrared. We find that the galaxies of both clusters form a tight sequence in the H vs. I — H diagram, which shows that the galaxies display a large range (up to 2 decades) in metallicity.
