BRICS is a research centre and international PhD school in theoretical computer science, based at the University of Aarhus, Denmark. The centre has recently become engaged in quantum information processing in cooperation with the Department of Physics, also University of Aarhus.

This extended abstract surveys activities at BRICS with special emphasis on the activities in quantum information processing.
