Abstract
An origin of the scatter of the points in the Y versus Z O diagram is briefly discussed. It has been shown that this scatter can be caused by the fact that the ratio of relative helium to oxygen enrichments in any galaxy is defined not only by the stellar yields of helium and oxygen but also by the efficiencies of enriched galactic winds taking place in that galaxy. In addition, the giant HII regions can have a temporary and local reduction of the helium to oxygen abundances ratio due to the self-enrichment of star formation region.
